Arthur Mauguy — Konsta Côte d'Azur
Weather at audit · Fine weather, 12-knot SW wind, slight sea — active salt deposits (last wash-down: 48 h).
Auditor's note — on site“The weather conditions of the previous 48 hours explain the concentration of salt on the exterior glazed surfaces and the port deck. The interior is maintained to a remarkable standard — Marina K. (chief stew) holds a Palace standard on the master cabin and the saloon. All 3 exterior non-conformities can be corrected before 15:00.”

Zone-by-zone analysis — detail
On-site observations, scope of responsibility and standard for each of the 15 zones inspected.
🏠 Interior — chief stewardess
Main saloon
Compliant95%The saloon shows a remarkable level of finish. Woodwork wiped with a suitable product, no visible haze. Cushions are positioned symmetrically, service tables show no trace of use. The ambient lighting reveals impeccable hull glazing — a particularly difficult point to maintain on a vessel of this size.
Master cabin
★ Excellence96%Palace standard achieved. Bedding squared off with crisp corners, pillows stacked with hotel-grade symmetry. The master bathroom shows gleaming taps with no trace of limescale — a standard that is hard to hold under way. Towels folded Palace-style, shower tray free of deposits. Marina K. has maintained this level over the last 3 audits — remarkable consistency.
Master bathroom
Compliant94%Polished stainless-steel taps with no water or limescale marks, mirror free of splashes. The shower tray is dry and deposit-free, towels folded to the signature fold. Marble tops wiped with a dry microfibre, seals sound. No touch-up required — the zone illustrates the standard the rest of the vessel should aim for.
Guest cabin 1
Compliant92%Cabin ready for boarding: bedding made up, surfaces dusted, portholes clear. Neat presentation of the linen and welcome amenities. A light touch-up of the air-conditioning grille was carried out during the audit. Nothing stands in the way of welcoming the guests.
Guest cabin 2
Compliant90%Compliant with the superyacht standard. Bedding crisp, surfaces clean, storage tidy. A fine layer of dust remained on the air-conditioning grille at the time of inspection — minor point reported to the chief stew, with no impact on the cabin's readiness.
Guest bathroom 1
Insufficient88%First sign of early limescale visible on the tap heads and the basin waste ring. At this stage, a 5-minute pass with a descaling product is enough. If the deposit is left untreated for 2 to 3 rotations, it calcifies and requires costly mechanical intervention. Floor and mirror are impeccable — the non-conformity is localised and quick to correct.
Guest bathroom 2
Insufficient87%Same picture as guest bathroom 1: early limescale on the taps and a light film of splashes on the mirror. The rest of the room — floor, shower, towel rail — is at standard. A 5-minute descaling pass and a mirror wipe close the gap. To be added to the turnaround protocol as a watch point.
Galley
Compliant93%Worktops disinfected, stainless steel spotless, extractor hood and filters degreased. Floors clean right under the equipment, waste management under control, cold room orderly. Zero non-conformity recorded — the galley has been held at a constant level for three audits. Hygiene benchmark for the rest of the vessel.
Corridors and passageways
Insufficient89%Carpets vacuumed and fresh, skirting clean, ambient lighting well kept. A few fingerprints noted on the bulkhead handles and door frames — marks of passage that a single microfibre wipe removes. No underlying issue; quick touch-up recommended before the guests arrive.
Bar / Secondary saloon
Compliant91%Counter and bar top gleaming, glassware without haze, bottles lined up. Bar sink stainless steel polished, waste trap clean. Presentation ready for service. Compliant with the standard, without reservation.
⚓ Exterior — deck crew / bosun
Main deck
Insufficient82%The walkway teak is clean, brushed with the grain, with no grey patches. The non-conformity is concentrated on three glass panels on the port side, marked with crystallised salt — a direct consequence of the SW wind of the last 48 hours, which carries spray onto this side. A fresh-water rinse and a microfibre wipe are enough: 20 minutes of deck crew. The rest of the deck is at standard.
Beach club
Critical79%Signature zone of the superyacht and first visual contact from the quay — this is the zone pulling the exterior score down. Two findings: a scaled deck shower (dense white limescale deposit on the taps and the floor) and blackened teak seams over roughly 30% of the surface. The blackening points to a maintenance shortfall spread over 2 to 3 rotations, not a failure of this turnaround alone. Descaling and reviving the seams are the priorities: the zone remains eliminatory for the Label as long as it stays below 80%.
Flybridge
Insufficient88%Teak dry and clean, seating and exterior bar laid out. A few salt marks remain on the windows and the helm windscreen, again linked to the onshore wind. Quick fresh-water touch-up. No structural issue: the zone goes back above threshold as soon as the rinse is done.
Cockpit & aft deck
Compliant90%Cockpit impeccable: stainless steel polished with no salt marks, cushions clean and aligned, table laid. The aft deck is rinsed and clear, cleats and side decks neat. Compliant with the exterior standard — the zone shows that the deck crew holds the level when the surface is not exposed to the prevailing wind.
Tender
Insufficient84%Tender rinsed and covered, engine and console clean. A few light spray deposits remain on the transom and the trim strips — a fresh-water touch-up of a few minutes. Minor point, with no impact on the tender's availability for the guests.
Priority non-conformities
3 items documented, photographed and assigned before boarding.
Beach club — Deck shower
Documented NCDense white limescale deposit over the whole of the deck-shower taps and on the floor tiling within a 40 cm radius. Immediately visible from the quay on approach — signature zone of the beach club, the first zone seen by the guests at boarding. Maximum image impact.
MYBA impact
Clause 3.2 — The vessel must be delivered clean and in good working order. A deposit visible to the naked eye constitutes a documented non-conformity, reportable to the owner.

Equipment
Professional descaler (Stardrops Marine Descaler), seam brush, fresh-water rinse
Beach club — Teak seams
Documented NCSeams between the teak planks blackened over roughly 30% of the beach club surface. The blackening is the sign of a maintenance shortfall over 2 to 3 rotations — not a failure of this turnaround alone. Immediately visible from the quay: signature zone of the superyacht, first visual contact with the water.
MYBA impact
Clause 3 — Delivery standard “clean and in good order”. The state of upkeep of the most exposed zone shapes the perception of the charter from the approach.

Port deck — Windows
Documented NCCrystallised salt on 3 glass panels on the port side, main deck. Consistent with the conditions of the last 48 hours (SW wind carrying spray). Simple correction: fresh-water rinse + microfibre wipe. Estimated time: 20 min of deck crew.
MYBA impact
Clause 3 — Glazed surfaces in the direct line of sight from the cockpit. Minor non-conformity, documented and correctable before boarding.

MYBA Charter Agreement 2025 — Clause 3
Yacht Delivery Standards

Documented situation
At the time of the audit (08:15, i.e. 6 h 45 min before boarding), the exterior condition of the yacht (85%) is below the Konsta Superyacht threshold (90%). Three non-conformities documented by time-stamped EXIF photos concern the beach club and the main deck.
Documentary wording
At 08:15 on 14 June 2026, i.e. 6 hours 45 minutes before the scheduled boarding, the beach club showed a limescale deposit visible to the naked eye on the deck shower and blackened teak seams over 30% of the surface. These non-conformities were documented by time-stamped EXIF photographs and notified to the charter manager (audit ref. YCH-2026-0032) in accordance with Clause 3 of the MYBA Charter Agreement 2025. The vessel must be delivered “clean and in good order” — the required corrections have been assigned to the deck crew for treatment before boarding at 15:00.
Recommendations for the 2026 season
Long-term view — beyond this turnaround.
Systematic descaling protocol
Add a descaling pass (10 min, professional marine product) on all taps at every turnaround. Cost: negligible. Impact: prevents the recurrence of the guest-bathroom NC recorded on 2 consecutive audits.
Preventive teak seam treatment
The beach club needs a quarterly treatment of the seams with teak brightener. The current blackening calls for a thorough intervention before mid-season (July). Estimated budget: 3 to 4 hours of contractor labour.
Post-bad-weather protocol
Set up a systematic rinse after any episode of SW wind above 15 knots (onshore spray). Duration: 45 min of deck crew. Prevents the build-up of crystallised salt on the glazed surfaces.
Konsta Yachting Label
- Required score
- 96% global + no critical zone
- Obstacle
- Beach club 79% — eliminatory critical zone
The beach club (79%) is the only obstacle to the Label for this audit. Once corrected, the exterior score would rise to ~91% and the global score to ~92%. 4 points would then be missing for the Label — achievable in 2 to 3 audits with the recommendations above.
First reference audit
This audit is the baseline audit of M/Y Blue Horizon — the reference against which all subsequent audits will be compared. It documents the condition of the vessel at the start of the season and makes it possible to measure the crew's progress.
